    An Omni COCO Antenna With High Efficiency and High Impedance

    • Generally, many antennas used in many communication base stations and airport navigation broadcast base station are required to be omni directionas, high gain and proper wide bandwidth. Based on the application background, a new kind of coaxial collinear(COCO)antenna with special structure, higher efficiency and higher impedance compared with the traditional one is presented here. Furthermore, a simulation model with respect to the antenna is created in the HFSS sys tem and the simulation result shows that it is high efficient, high impedance, low VSWR and proper wide bandwidth after making optimization, which could be applied for the above mentioned systems very well. Last, a sample is developed and tested in an anechoic chamber. The test results show well consistent with the simulation ones.
