Microwaves in Southeast University

Southeast University (SEU) is one of the universities in China which start the education and research in electromagnetic field and microwave technology at the earliest. The education activities can be traced back to the department of electrical engineering of National Southeast University ( National Central University) in 1920s. In the ninety year history of the microwave discipline in SEU, a large number of outstanding talents were trained and many influential achievements in scientific research were contributed. In 1993, the unique State Key Laboratory of Millimeter Waves in microwave field in China was estabished in SEU. The history and current status of the electromagnetic field and microwave discipline in SEU is briefly reviewed in this article.
