    A Novel Mushroom-shaped Antenna Based on CRLH-TL

    • In order to reduce the cross-polarization caused by the departure feed in conventional mushroom-shaped antenna array, a novel mushroom-shaped structure was proposed in this article, and its radiation characteristics were studied.Based on this new structure, a miniaturized full-orientation 2×2 antenna array was designed and manufactured. The proposed antenna works in 2.27GHz, and a 10dB bandwidth with 1.15% is achieved. The size of antenna is only 0.15λ0×0.15λ0×0.01λ0(and size of array is 0.3λ0×0.3λ0×0.01λ0). A 35dB of the depression of cross-polarization and a nice full-orientationin XoY plane is obtained.
