Design and Realization of HEMP Conducted Protection Module Testing System

    • According to GJB 3622-1999 standard, a set of line-ground pulse current coupling injection testing system is designed to meet the test requirement of high altitude nuclear magnetic pulse (HEMP) conducted protection module. The production of HEMP, the building of measurement system and the test of the RF EMP protector are completed. The pulse rise time is less than 10ns, pulse half width is between 500ns and 550ns, the design specifications are fully compliant with the requirements of the GJB 3622-1999 standard. For testing convenience, the high voltage source in the pulse generator is adjusted artificially in the range of 0 ~50kV, and the oil insulated spark gap switch could be controlled by remote control. The current probe (Rogowski coil), voltage probe, digital storage oscilloscope are ready for current and voltage acquisition, the current suppression ratio(SEI) is calculated using the measured data,so the testing system could complete performance testing and vulnerability threshold testing of the conducted protective module. This test system has stable performance, high reliability, accurate and reliable test data. This test system has been widely applied in engineering practice, and achieved good results.
