    Design of 2-18 GHz Wide Band Miniature Down-converter Module

    • The wide band down-converter receiver module is the core component of the electronic reconnaissance system in radar electromagnetic countermeasure (ECM) field. To meet the need for ultra-wide band and miniaturization of the electronic reconnaissance system, a realization method for a 2-18 GHz ultra-wide miniaturized converter receiving module is proposed in this paper. The module is of superheterodyne with twice frequency conversion by millimeter wave local oscillator, and we design the miniaturized circuits based on switched filter bank chip. Multilayer microwave printed circuit board with carefully designed layers′stack and micro-assembly technology are both incorporated to realize compact integration and interconnecting. The measured results show the fabricated ultra-wide band miniaturized converter receiving module meet all the specifications.
