    Design of Super Compact Wide-Band Transparent Waveguide Windows at V Band and W Band

    • The concept of super compact millimeter wave waveguide window based on low-loss cyclic olefin copolymer (COC) at V band and W band is proposed in this work. The waveguide window is composed of a machined step-type COC dielectric, and it is placed inside modified waveguide and connected with standard rectangular waveguide at both ends. The feasibility of communication frequency band at V band and W band is verified by testing several fabricated models. With the return loss better than 20 dB, the working frequency band at V band ranges from 57 GHz to 66 GHz, and at W band ranges from 77. 8 GHz to 108. 25 GHz, which proves that the waveguide window is an excellent candidate for broadband applications in millimeter wave band or even higher.
