Simulation and Design of Miniaturized Broadband Magnetic Field Probe

    • This paper presents a near-field magnetic field probe, which can be used to measure the electromagnetic radiation emission of integrated circuits and locate the radiation source in electronic equipment. The probe is designed with four layers of printed circuit board, and the dielectric material is Rogers 4350B with high performance and low loss, which ensures simple structure and miniaturization. The multilayer structure can effectively shield the electric field coupling in the external space. Through the use of through-hole fence and coaxial through-hole structure to achieve good impedance matching and improve the working frequency. At the same time, the shielding via can form a shielding cavity, effectively suppress the resonance and improve the electric field suppression performance. HFSS simulation software is used to get the performance parameters of the magnetic field probe, and the physical processing is carried out. The experimental results show that the working frequency band of the probe can reach 12 GHz, the spatial resolution is 2 mm, and it has a good electric field suppression system. The simulation results are in good agreement with the measured results.
