    Experimental Analysis of Lightning Protection Effect of Plasma Limiter

    • Lightning for all kind of equipment and civil systems of electronic equipment has a great destructive effect, causing damage to the radio frequency system mainly for the induction of lightning, and the existing equipment cannot meet the lightning protection requirements of the radio frequency system. In this paper, the lightning protection characteristics of plasma limiter for microwave protection are studied and relative tests are carried out. The results show that plasma limiter can play a common role in lightning protection, and has certain limitations on the amplitude and waveform of inductive lightning wave; when the PIN limiter is connecting to the output of the plasma limiter,the cascade connection device makes a effective protection for the system circuit.
