Abstract
Mines are one of the oldest naval warfare weapons and recognized as the best asymmetrical weapon. Nearly half of the ships lost after the World War II. Because of the unique geographical location and ecological environment in the shallow water area of the ocean, the mines laid here become the biggest obstacle to landing. Due to the urgent time in wartime, the landing passage should be cleared quickly, flexibly and with low casualties. In this paper, a shallow water mine rapid detection system based on UAV platform is proposed. The system uses electromagnetic induction metal detection technology based on transient electromagnetic method to detect metal parts of mines, such as firing pin, electronic unit and control device. Then, the principle of transient field pulse metal detection is introduced successively, and the technical scheme of rapid mine detection by using the UAV equipped with transient electromagnetic meter is introduced. The method of target recognition by imaging detection data is introduced. Finally, a very shallow water area in China is selected to place mines and similar targets in advance, and relevant detection tests are carried out to obtain detection data. Through data comparison, the performance and feasibility of the unmanned shallow water mine rapid detection system based on TEM are verified.
