Abstract
Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) technology has been widely used. Traditional range-Doppler ( RD) algorithm can not meet the requirements of high accuracy and small computing rate in SAR imaging. The chirp scaling (CS) algorithm introduces a linear frequency modulation reference signal based on the RD algorithm, which can avoid the interpolation calculation in distance migration correction, thereby improving the calculation efficiency of the imaging algorithm and solving the distance migration problem. Based on the CS algorithm, in this paper imaging simulations are realized from point targets to simple cube models, and the imaging simulation of complex ship target is realized. After simulation, some clear SAR simulation images are obtained, which verifies the effectiveness of the CS algorithm. This study can provide a certain reference for the identification and monitoring of complex targets, inversion research, and the judgment of the navigation direction and status of ships.
